Jim The Fish Guy Gallery Trips And Rates Equipment FAQ Trophy

Ely, Minnesota fishing is some of the best you will find anywhere.  Area lakes are rich with Northern, Bass, Walleye, Crappie and many other species. Our goal is to take you out to catch fish.  Generally speaking, we will take you where the fish are biting rather than fishing for a particular species.  If you are interested in fishing on specific lakes or fishing for Muskies  or any other specific species of fish, please let us know at the time of your reservation.

Shore Lunch

No fishing trip is complete without a shore lunch and all the trimmings!  The concept of a shore lunch is pretty simple; hit the lake, catch some fish, take them to shore, cook them up and eat them.  There is nothing in the world like fresh fish and it doesn’t get any fresher than right out of the water! You will be hard-pressed to find a better shore lunch than Jim’s.  In addition to a lifetime of fishing know-how, he also has over 30 years in the restaurant business and has perfected dozens of recipes that make his shore lunch a bona fide experience.  You never know which recipe Jim will pull out of his bag but believe us when we tell you that you will be thrilled with the result.
